This mechanical seal is associated with the Ø 12 mm impeller and replaces the one found in the SIREM single or two-speed pumps with the PBL reference, as well as the Aquamarine PB1C8024L1B two-speed pump manufactured after July 2018.
The wet end seal ensures that the water doesn't leak out of the pump wet end, along the motor shaft. It comes in two parts: one mounts on the wet end and the other slots in behind the impeller.
